Cat on the roof

Little did I know when I took the reference photo of this Cat sitting on a neighbours shed roof, that it would one day result in this gorgeous artwork.  At the time (it was around 2006) I was working only in B&W (Graphite Pencil) and I felt this image should be created in colour!

I didn’t have the skills back then, so it remained amidst the thousands of reference photos I have taken over the years.  Fast forward 2 decades, (eeek!) and here it finally is (2025) ‘Cat on the roof’ – in Pastel Pencils and Soft Pastels. The best news is the artwork has been shortlisted for the SAA Artists of the Year 2025 Competition!

Description

The print is on on smooth matt archival paper

3 sizes are available, finished paper size. A white border surrounds the image, so it is suitable for framing with or without a mount.

A5 (14.8 x 21 cm) – 5 mm border

A4 (21 x 29.7 cm) – 10 mm border

A3 (29.7 x 42 cm) – 20 mm border

The prints fit perfectly into standard ‘A’ size frames. If you are buying a frame that includes a mount, make sure you look for frames that have the aperture (inside of the mount) dimensions as A5/A4/A3

I will sign the print on the bottom left corner of the image.
