Pet Portraits
Transform your favorite pet photo into a beautiful work of art.
With clients across the UK and internationally, it’s been a joy to bring cherished pets to life through my artwork. I’d be delighted to do the same for you.
As a proud cat owner whose heart was stolen by a whiskered companion, I understand just how special our pets are. For over 20 years, I’ve been drawing animals with a focus on capturing their unique character and beauty in every detail.
Working from your photo, I’ll create a realistic, hand-drawn portrait that brings your beloved pet to life. While I’m most often commissioned to draw cats, dogs, and horses, I enjoy portraying all animals – furred, feathered, or scaled. One of my favourite past commissions was a striking portrait of a snake!

To get started, simply send me your favorite photo.
Whether you’d like a head-and-shoulders portrait, a full-body drawing, or your pet curled up in their favourite spot, I’m happy to bring your vision to life. All I need is one high-quality photo to get started.

Commission Information
Pet photos
High resolution digital photos are best, and most camera phone’s these days are good enough, but bear in mind it must be in focus and show enough detail for me to work from. The more detail that is visible in the photo the better will be the finished drawing. Feel free to send me a selection of photos and I can guide you to which photo is the best to use a reference.
Deposit
I don’t usually require a deposit, I ask for payment once the drawing is complete. However, I may request a non-refundable 50% deposit, ie for particularly large drawings or multiple subjects
Timescale
Commissioned artworks may take a few weeks to complete. Sometimes I am available for a quicker turn around, if you have a specific date for a special occasion, then just get in touch and i’ll let you know if it is possible.
The Process
Once the photo has been decided I create a draft. This usually involves editing out any background that is not required and positioning it on the paper size that has been chosen. If there is more than one subject, I’ll suggest some layouts and options at this time. This can help you visualize the finished piece and work out what size and composition you prefer. Any changes you wish can be made until you are happy with the draft.
Payment
Once the artwork is complete and providing you are 100% happy, I ask you for the full payment. This can be paid by bank transfer, UK Cheque, or PayPal. For overseas PayPal transactions there is an additional surcharge.
Shipping
Delivery is by Special Delivery and is fully insured. You are also welcome to collect if you are local to Nottingham.
For orders overseas – Prices vary, please ask me for a quote.
