April Update

My new Tiger Pastel Painting

Two tigers sharing a tender moment, an artwork in pastel

” Wild Affection” – Tiger Mother and Cub

The artwork is in pastel pencil and soft pastel. It took over 50 hours to complete, and it tested my skills and patience more than I can say!

I’m incredibly proud of how it turned out, and I hope it will bring awe and wonder to others as much as it does to me.

The painting captures a beautiful moment of connection between a tiger mother and her cub – a small but powerful glimpse into the bond they share.

I’m deeply grateful to the photographer Natasha Kane for the incredible reference photo that allowed me to create this artwork. www.wildlifereferencephotos.com

Now for some EXCITING NEWS!...

I have entered this piece into the Wildlife Artist of the Year Competition, run by the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation!

About the Competition:

The DSWF exhibition has played a significant role in my art career – back in 2008, it was the first major art competition i ever entered and I was thrilled to sell my Amur Leopard drawing there.

That moment marked an important step at the beginning of my art journey. Since then, I’ve been fortunate to be selected as a finalist four times, with my last exhibition there in 2018.

The competition is open to amateur and professional artists worldwide, the quantity and the standard of entries is extremely high!  I’m excited to be submitting work again and I hope the judges enjoy my rendition of these beautiful tigers.

>> Watch this space, i'll keep you updated as the judging progresses.

Last month I felt inspired to paint something bright and beautiful to celebrate those first signs of Spring

I’ve loved seeing all the blossom and flowers starting to bloom, and i’ve especially loved watching the little birds in the garden, they always make me smile!

spring robin watercolour painting

This is actually my second version of this Robin painting, since I have been learning and developing my watercolour skills for a number of years, I wanted to paint it again and see just how much my work has improved.  Whilst I feel my technique is better in this version, there are parts I love from the first painting too, I like them both for different reasons!

You can see the first painting HERE and I’ll be adding this version as a print in the near future, but if you’d like one sooner just let me know.

A new addition to the 'Animal Families' collection

New Personalised Robin Family Print

Following the theme of Robins, it seemed the perfect opportunity to create a new animal family for my Bespoke Print Collection.  I had such fun painting these robins and bringing them together to create this ‘Family’ print.

The print can be personalised with your Family name or title, along with the names of each family member, Or, if you prefer, it can simply feature the robins with no text at all – just a lovely robin family print.

These bespoke animal prints make beautiful and meaningful gifts for families and couples. Each print is thoughtfully designed for all sorts of occasions.

Perfect as a unique and personalised wedding gift, anniversary present, or birthday gift, and the baby animal prints are ideal for families, new parents, or anyone celebrating love, connection, and family life

So, whether it’s a gift or a treat for your own home, each print is sure to bring a smile and be cherished for years to come.

New Cat Paintings...

Continuing in watercolour, and with my membership to the Society of Feline Artists in mind, I was on a mission to create some new feline artworks. Since I have one more space in my online Gallery with the S.O.F.A. I will choose one of them to be added, although I still haven’t decided which one!

The originals will be also for sale.

I’m currently working on the print files for both pieces, and they are looking wonderful. They aren’t on the website just yet, but both will soon be available to purchase as giclée prints.

My next event is Sunday 12th April 2026...
