‘The Safest Place’ is a heartfelt watercolour capturing a tender moment between a lioness and her cub, resting in the golden warmth of the savannah.

As I painted, I felt a sense of peace and comfort, perhaps that of the lion cub, from the protection of his Mother and the deep reassurance her presence gives to her cub.
